Seeing your favorite player live is a thrill that not every fan gets to have. For young fans, the anticipation and excitement of seeing an athlete you look up to in person is unmatched. There are sometimes, however, moments of disappointment.

One young Golden State Warriors fan was over the moon to see Steph Curry, her favorite NBA player, on Monday but was devastated when No. 30 missed the Warriors game against the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center

The young fan was holding a sign that read, “Go Warriors, MVP Steph Curry,” with photos of Curry and and the Warriors logo. She was emotional over not seeing Curry play:

Don’t worry, though, this story has a happy ending.

Due to a COVID-19 postponement makeup game, the Warriors were back in Denver a few days later and Curry wanted to be sure the superfan was there to see him play. The Warriors gave tickets to the young fan and her entire family so they could finally see the three-time champion on the court.

Curry even went so far as to meet with the fan for a bit before the game. She was crying again, but this time it was happy tears. The two-time NBA MVP walked over to fist bump the fan and she was overwhelmed by Curry’s kindness.

Safe to say she will remember this moment for the rest of her life.  Her amazing day didn’t end there, as the Nuggets also had a gift for her.

The Nuggets tweeted, “You know we had to do our part and hook them up with some MVP jerseys.”
