Watch 76ers vs. Pelicans: How to live stream, TV channel, start time for Tuesday’s NBA game

Written by on January 25, 2022

Through 1 Quarter

We’ve got an early Upset Alert brewing as the New Orleans Pelicans have gotten out to a surprisingly quick start despite kicking off as an 11.5-point underdog. After one quarter neither team has the game in the bag, but the Pelicans lead 26-20 over the Philadelphia 76ers. New Orleans has been led by center Willy Hernangomez, who so far has 13 points along with two boards.

Hernangomez has led the way so far for New Orleans, as he has 13 points in addition to two rebounds. Note that this was a full 50% of New Orleans’ points.

Both New Orleans and Philadelphia padded the win column in their previous outings. It’s looking like the Pelicans will be able to keep the momentum, but the 76ers still have three quarters to right the ship.

Who’s Playing

New Orleans @ Philadelphia

Current Records: New Orleans 18-28; Philadelphia 27-19

What to Know

The New Orleans Pelicans might have tired legs after a contest yesterday as they head on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET Jan. 25 at Wells Fargo Center. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

New Orleans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 117-113 win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The Pelicans can attribute much of their success to point guard Devonte’ Graham, who shot 5-for-9 from downtown and finished with 25 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, but they still walked away with a 115-109 victory. It was another big night for the Sixers’ center Joel Embiid, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 12 boards along with six dimes. Embiid’s night made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 32 points.

New Orleans is the clear underdog, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. The smart bettors have been the ones to keep their money on New Orleans’ opponents whenever they hit the road.

New Orleans found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 117-97 punch to the gut against Philadelphia in the teams’ previous meeting last October. Can the Pelicans avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll soon find out.
