What you need to know about the Trail Blazers

Portland is coming off a 132-117 loss to Dallas on Monday. The Trail Blazers were down 106-84 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. A silver lining for the Trail Blazers was the play of small forward Nassir Little, who posted a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds.

The Trail Blazers were missing their head coach and seven players due to COVID-19. They are also still missing star guard CJ McCollum, who is recovering from a collapsed lung. Portland has lost consecutive games and has dropped 12 of its last 15 games overall.

What you need to know about the Jazz

Utah is coming off a 110-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, despite playing without star guard Donovan Mitchell. It was another big night for center Rudy Gobert, who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Reigning Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson stepped up in place of the injured Mitchell, scoring a team-high 23 points.

Mitchell is going to miss Wednesday night’s game as well, so the Jazz need another strong outing from Clarkson. They have won seven consecutive road games and have the best shooting percentage (47.7) in the NBA. Utah has won 12 of its last 14 games, including a 129-107 win over Portland one month ago.
