Shouts out to our family from KC that came out to chop it up about this new project and movement for the community.

A Song with Purpose and Promise

Jegna Klub Presents: The worldwide release of the single “WY (Why)” by Julius & Steve Yancy on all streaming platforms on Wednesday November 15, 2023. It is available now on Jegna Klub SoundCloud, Jegna Klub TV TicTok and Jegna Klub TV YouTube.

Jegna Klub, a Wyandotte County-based 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to building youth for the future through real-world client-connected projects and résumé building experiences is proud to announce the release of the empowering and inspiring song “WY (Why)” by Julius & Steve Yancy.

“WY (Why)” isn’t just a song; it’s our collective effort to take the lead in being the change we wish to see in our communities. This musical testament highlights the power of coaching, opportunity, experience, networking, education, and community engagement. This real-world client-connected project provided an invaluable opportunity for 2 interns from the Jegna Klub’s Connecting The Dottes Internship Program to engage with industry professionals, foster positive relationships, expand their networks and gain a resume building experience all while earning a production credit.

The song, “WY (Why),” goes beyond its catchy beats and melodies. It serves as an anthem for change within our communities. It encourages individuals to reflect on their own “why” – the reason they strive for better futures. This is your why! This is my why! This is our why!

Julius & Steve Yancy have poured their hearts, talents and passion into this song, making it a powerful expression of hope, motivation, and unity. It’s a reminder that change starts inside each of us, and together, we can be the change we wish to see in our communities!

“We believe in the creativity and potential of our youth, and ‘WY (Why)’ is the cornerstone in providing a pathway for our youth to compete positively and showcase their creativity, dedication, and resilience,” said Coach Mo, Founder/CEO of the Jegna Klub. “We’re incredibly proud of interns Aferion Mosley and Rashad Wright who contributed to this project and very appreciative and grateful to Henderson Entertainment, Julius & Steve Yancy for partnering with us to provide this real-world client-connected project and experience.”

The Jegna Klub is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization based in Wyandotte County, dedicated to building youth for the future through teaching job and workforce development in multimedia using real-world learning settings and resume-building experiences for youth.
