Snoop Dogg‘s Death Row catalog is back on all streaming services by popular demand.
Death Row first teased the music’s return Thursday, writing, “We heard you. The time has come.” The label also revealed the music would drop at 9 p.m. PT, and delivered on its promise.
“We back,” Snoop wrote following the release, alongside a screenshot of the different Death Row albums available on Apple Music. In a second post, he asked fans, “What u bumpin first ???”
Now available to stream are albums including Snoop’s Doggystyle and Tha Doggfather, Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me, as well as the Above the Rim and Murder Was the Case soundtracks and the Death Row Greatest Hits compilation.
The return of Snoop’s Death Row catalog comes nearly a year after he removed the music following his acquisition of the label. He told Drink Champs that “those platforms get millions of millions of streams, and nobody gets paid other than the record labels.”
At the time, he also shared his desire to “snatch my music off, create a platform similar to Amazon, Netflix, Hulu” and create a Death Row app. He later dropped the catalog on TikTok and recently entered a partnership with Larry Jackson‘s one-stop-shop media company, Gamma.
As Billboard reports, Gamma acquired a stake in Death Row and will revert the rights back to Snoop after they “work together to enrich the value of the IP.” The partnership also includes two new albums.
