Jose Mourinho beats Maurizio Sarri
After losing the first matchup against Lazio last September, Roma manager Jose Mourinho had his personal revenge against Maurizio Sarri and won the Roma derby, 3-0, while dominating the whole match. Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham scored the opening goal after 55 seconds and then scored another one after 22 minutes. Lazio were never really dangerous and it was an amazing free-kick by captain Lorenzo Pellegrini that capped off an unforgettable win.
Inter crisis; Juventus get closer
Inter Milan have been unrecognizable in the last few weeks. Simone Inzaghi’s team failed to win again and drew at home against Fiorentina. The away team scored the opener with Lucas Torreira, but then Inter Milan managed to equalize with Denzel Dumfries’ header. Nerazzurri won one game in the last seven and are now only one point ahead Juventus (still with one game in hand), who won against Salernitana on Sunday.
Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic goals put Juventus in a better position, and after the International break there will be a huge game in Turin between Inter Milan and Juventus that will tell us a lot about this end of the season.
AC Milan, Napoli take care of business
AC Milan secured three huge points against Cagliari away. It was an intense match where both teams played to win the game but Rossoneri took it in the second half with a stunning play and goal by Ismael Bennacer. Stefano Pioli’s side are now top of the league with three points more than Napoli, who won as well against Udinese thanks to a brace scored by Victor Osimhen (11 goals overall during this Serie A season).
