Another debatable list has been shared in honor of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. This time, Rolling Stone ranked its picks for the 100 Greatest West Coast Hip-Hop Songs of All Time.
The list features the likes of veterans Tupac, Dr. Dre and N.W.A, as well as modern-day stars Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, the Creator and Saweetie.
The #1 pick is Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg with “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang,” followed by N.W.A’s “Straight Outta Compton,” Kendrick’s “M.A.A.D City” feat. MC Eiht, Makaveli‘s “Hail Mary” feat. Outlawz and “93 ‘Til Infinity” by Souls of Mischief.
Too $hort comes in at #6 with “Blow the Whistle,” Ice Cube‘s “It Was A Good Day” sits at #7, and Snoop appears once again, taking the #8 position with solo song “Gin and Juice.”
Mac Dre‘s “Feelin’ Myself” and Ice-T‘s “6 In The Mornin’” round out the top 10.
