In her latest efforts to supports COVID-19 patients, Rihanna is helping her family first sending her father a ventilator after he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Her father, Ronald Fenty, 66, is grateful to be back home in St. James, Barbados after spending 14 days at the Paragon Isolation center battling the virus.
He revealed to The Sun that his daughter Rihanna has checked on him every day since his diagnosis. He said he appreciates her for giving him “more than” what he needed to combat the deadly virus, sending a ventilator to the Caribbean, even though “he hadn’t used [it] yet.”
“To be honest my daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day,” Fenty said. “I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn.’ Though their relationship has been rocky over the years, he says Rihanna has been there for him every step of the way: “She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done.”
Ronald recalled fearing the worst after contracting the virus. “I thought I was going to die, honestly,” he said, having dealt with “a fever up inside of my nose and a fever across my lips.”
He encouraged everyone to take the pandemic seriously. “I want everybody to stay home. This is a serious situation,” he said. “Please stay home.”
Meanwhile, Rihanna continues to give back to others, donating over $700,000 worth of ventilators to her home country Barbados, and $5 million through her Clara Lionel Foundation to help fight the coronavirus pandemic.
