One of the biggest matches of the Italian Serie A season is set for Saturday when fourth-place Atalanta will try to take a result from league-leading Napoli. The two clubs have had a competitive history in recent years, but Atalanta has gotten the better of it going back to 2019. Since then, the two sides have played each other seven times, with Atalanta winning four and the teams drawing twice across all competitions. Kick-off is set for 2:45 p.m. ET from Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples, Italy. Stanislav Lobotka has been filling in, but isn’t the decisive presence Anguissa is in front of the defensive back line.
“Anguissa has been the unsung hero for Napoli this season. He provides a vital screen for the defense, and it suffered from a lack of protection against Sassuolo,” Green told SportsLine. “Napoli won 4-1 when the teams met in Naples last season, but then Atalanta gained revenge by beating [manager Luciano] Spalletti’s team 4-2 in Bergamo. We could see another high-scoring clash on Saturday.”
