What you need to know about the Kings

Sacramento bounced back from an ugly loss to Memphis with a 117-111 win over Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Shooting guard Tyrese Haliburton was the offensive standout of the matchup for Sacramento, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and finishing with a double-double on 24 points and 10 assists. Marvin Bagley III made just his second start of the season, scoring nine points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the win over the Thunder

It was a balanced effort from Sacramento, as Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, De’Aaron Fox and Terence Davis were all in double figures as well. The Kings have lost seven of their last 10 games. They came up short in the first meeting with Dallas this season, losing a 105-99 final on Halloween.

What you need to know about the Mavericks

Dallas comes into this game without its best player, as Luka Doncic is in the league’s health and safety protocols. Guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is also out, so the Mavericks will need another big game from Kristaps Porzingis. He scored 34 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 132-117 win over Portland on Monday.

Porzingis received some help from Josh Green, who scored a career-high nine points and dished out a career-best 10 assists. The Mavericks assisted on 38 of their 48 made baskets in the win over Portland. They have won just two of their last six games and lost in their only trip to Sacramento last season.
