The Detroit rapper said the record had a mind of its own after its release, as it continues to gain traction and make its way across the globe via social apps. “Thank you,Billboardand Triller Videos, that song has a mind of its own lol,”Kash Doll captioned Billboard’s announcement of the big reveal on Instagram.
Billboard launched the Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global charts three weeks ago, to rank the biggest songs on the app based on the number of views of videos featuring the song, the video’s level of engagement, and how many videos are uploaded with each song.
In 2017, Kash Doll positioned herself as an artist to watch after popping up on Big Sean and Metro Boomin‘s “So Good.” After years of dropping viral hits, Kash Doll dropped the song from her long-awaited Stacked debut, which earned a spot on Billboard‘s 200 albums chart with “no radio song or a pre-order,” according to Kash Doll’s twitter. The song has since surged to 774,000 streams in the week of July 17-23.
Last month, Vulture reported “Ice Me Out,” which explains Kash Doll’s expensive taste in jewelry, had been used on TikTok over 1.1 million times.
Elsewhere, the Top Triller U.S. and Global charts also feature hits from Rod Wave, Saweetie, Tiwa Savage, DJ Khaled, and Drake, as well as Pop Smoke’s latest posthumous track “The Woo” feat. 50 Cent and Roddy Ricch.
