What to Know
The Idaho Vandals haven’t won a contest against the Washington State Cougars since Dec. 6 of 2017, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Thursday. Idaho will take on Washington State at 9 p.m. ET at home. The Cougars will be strutting in after a victory while the Vandals will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Idaho came up short against the Fresno State Bulldogs on Monday, falling 69-62. Trevante Anderson had a rough night: he finished with only four points on 0-for-10 shooting in his 28 minutes on the court.
Meanwhile, Washington State was able to grind out a solid win over the Santa Barbara Gauchos on Monday, winning 73-65. Washington State’s forward Efe Abogidi looked sharp as he had 18 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. Abogidi’s performance made up for a slower matchup against the Seattle Redhawks last Friday.
The Vandals are the clear underdogs, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 2-0 against the spread when expected to lose.
