Antonio Brown has a golden opportunity to cash in on all the money he’s lost from his three-game suspension earlier this year. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brown can earn up to $1 million in contract incentives over the final three games of the year if he reaches the following criteria.

  • 50 receptions (has 29 so far this season)
  • 800 yards (has 418)
  • 7 TD (has 5)

Brown gets $333,333 per incentive. He’s 21 receptions away from reaching the 50-catch incentive, 382 yards away from the 800-yard marker, and two touchdowns away from the seven-touchdown goal. The Buccaneers wide receiver can reach all three, but it’s more likely he reaches one (possibility two) over the final three games.

Brown has 29 catches for 418 yards and four touchdowns in just five games for the Buccaneers this season, becoming a reliable passing option for quarterback Tom Brady when he’s available. Injuries aside, Brown was suspended three games by the league for producing fake COVID-19 vaccination cards as a result of an investigation concluded in November.

The Buccaneers are thin at wide receiver at the moment, as Chris Godwin is out for the year with a torn ACL, Mike Evans is “week-to-week” with a hamstring injury, and Breshad perriman is on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Brown is the top wide receiver option with Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller, and Jaelon Darden as the other options.

Brown has a chance to cash in with three standout performances over the last three weeks. The targets will certainly be coming his way.
