The Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills didn’t have a first half that football fans will discuss for generations, yet the two teams were able to make some history in the first 30 minutes. The Bills led the Panthers 17-8 at halftime — the first game in NFL history that had a 17-8 halftime score, according to Fox.

There has been one 17-8 final in the 102 years of the the NFL, the Milwaukee Badgers defeated the Chicago Cardinals on November 8, 1924 — so there won’t be a Scorigami with that final score. The idea of tracking every Scorigami was created by SB Nation writer Jon Bois and there’s now a Twitter account with more than 285,000 followers that tracks each and every Scorigami.

The reason for the unique halftime score was due to Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez injuring his quad during pregame warmups, leaving Carolina without a kicker. Carolina passed on a 41-yard field goal on its first drive of the game and went for two after Cam Newton’s 4-yard touchdown run in the first half due to not having an option to kick an extra point (the Panthers converted on a Newton pass to D.J. Moore).

A final Scoragami may not happen in this game, but the halftime one is unique — especially given the situation Carolina is facing throughout the afternoon.
