Chance the Rapper celebrating 10 years of ‘Acid Rap’ with hometown show

Chance the Rapper‘s Billboard-charting mixtape Acid Rap turns 10 years old on April 30. In honor of its anniversary, the rapper’s headlining a celebratory show in his hometown. The Acid Rap Ten Year Anniversary Show will take place August 19 at Chicago’s United Center, featuring record producer Saba as the supporting act. His last performance at the venue was in 2019.
Presale ticket sales begin Wednesday, April 26, at 10 a.m. local time and will run throughout the week before the general sale kicks off Friday, April 28, at 10 a.m. local time at livenation.com.
Chance dropped Acid Rap in 2013. Featuring the likes of Vic Mensa, Childish Gambino, Twista, Action Bronson, BJ The Chicago Kid, Ab-Soul and Noname, the mixtape featured 14 tracks and peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.
Chance also plans to celebrate the mixtape with the streaming release of the single “Juice” and exclusive Acid Rap Ten Year Anniversary merchandise on April 30. He’ll also host live events, pop-ups and more over the next few months.
The rapper’s slated to drop his next body of work, Star Line Gallery, sometime this year.
