Canada vs. Jamaica odds, picks, how to watch, live stream: March 27, 2022 World Cup qualifier predictions

Written by on March 27, 2022

Holding a six-point advantage over fourth-place Costa Rica with two matches to play, the Canada men’s national team needs just one point from its next two matches to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. On Sunday, it will host Jamaica at BMO Field in Toronto for the penultimate match of its CONCACAF World Cup 2022 qualifying run. Canada is currently first in the table with 25 points, while Jamaica is seventh with eight and has been eliminated from Qatar 2022 contention. You can stream all the action on Paramount+.

Kick-off is set for 4:05 p.m. ET at BMO Field in Toronto. Caesars Sportsbook lists Canada as the -310 favorite (risk $310 to win $100) in the latest Canada vs. Jamaica odds, while Jamaica is the +800 underdog. A draw comes in at +360, while the over-under for total goals scored is 2.5. Sunday’s match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

2022 World Cup qualifying picks for Jamaica vs. Canada

Before you tune in to Sunday’s CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers, you need to see the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers picks from soccer insider Jon Eimer. He is a high-volume bettor who has vast knowledge of leagues and players across the globe. Since joining SportsLine, Eimer has covered the English Premier League, Serie A, the FA Cup and much more. The Indiana-based handicapper compiled a winning record of 260-133-1 with over 90 units of profit for his community on various platforms over a recent two-month stretch.

For Canada vs. Jamaica, Eimer is betting the Canada double, meaning it leads at halftime and at full time. Canada’s loss to Costa Rica last Thursday was its first during the third round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. It fell 1-0 in one of the federation’s most hostile stadiums and played down a man for nearly an hour.

Despite all that, Canada actually dominated the run of play and the score probably wasn’t just. It had 68 percent of possession and took 18 shots, while Costa Rica had just 11. In general, Canada has leaned heavily on its pace and structurally sound setup to lead CONCACAF in goals scored (19) and goals conceded (six).

This is a matchup against a Jamaican squad that doesn’t have anything left to play for, as it was eliminated from World Cup contention early in the last window. Expect the Reggae Boyz to be focused more on long-term development and for Canada to hold serve at home needing just one point to earn just its second-ever appearance in the FIFA World Cup.
