The Dallas Cowboys have had another season end short of expectations, and several fans that saw Saturday’s playoff loss in person weren’t having it.

Cowboys fans were spotted throwing debris on the field at the conclusion of the team’s 23-17 loss to the 49ers in the wild card round. While it initially appeared that fans were throwing debris at players, reports later stated that fans’ ire was instead directed at the officials.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was disparaging fans about throwing debris on players before being told that they were actually targeting the officials. Cowboys fans were on the wrong end of several questionable calls by the officials during the final sequences of Saturday’s game.

“A credit to them then,” Prescott said.

The Cowboys’ Super Bowl drought will now reach 26 years. Dallas’ last appearance in the big game was its 27-17 win over the Steelers in Super Bowl XXX. Since then, the Cowboys have not advanced beyond the divisional round of the playoffs.
