Who’s Playing
Buffalo @ Tampa Bay
Current Records: Buffalo 7-5; Tampa Bay 9-3
What to Know
The Buffalo Bills will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Tampa Bay should still be riding high after a victory, while the Bills will be looking to regain their footing.
Buffalo was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Monday as they fell 14-10 to the New England Patriots. No one had a standout game offensively for Buffalo, but QB Josh Allen led the way with one touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay was able to grind out a solid win over the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday, winning 30-17. It was another big night for Tampa Bay’s QB Tom Brady, who passed for four TDs and 368 yards on 51 attempts. Brady ended up with a passer rating of 157.10.
The Buccaneers’ defense was a presence as well, as it got past Atlanta’s offensive line to sack QB Matt Ryan five times for a total loss of 38 yards. The heavy lifting was done by DE Ndamukong Suh and NT Vita Vea, who each racked up two sacks.
The Bills are expected to lose this next one by 3. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Monday might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
Buffalo is now 7-5 while Tampa Bay sits at 9-3. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Buffalo enters the game with only 20 touchdowns allowed, which is the best in the league. But Tampa Bay comes into the matchup boasting the most overall offensive touchdowns in the NFL at 46. We’ll see which of these strengths — offense or defense — will win out.
