What to Know
The Nicholls State Colonels will take on the Cal Poly Mustangs at 3 p.m. ET on Monday at JSerra Pavilion. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season averages.
The matchup between the Colonels and the TCU Horned Frogs on Thursday was not a total blowout, but with Nicholls State falling 63-50 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Guard Devante Carter just could not get things rolling his way, picking up four fouls and turning the ball over six times en route to a 4-for-15, 11-point finish.
Meanwhile, Cal Poly was expected to have a tough go of it on Friday, and, well, they did. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 87-57 walloping at the Santa Clara Broncos’ hands.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Check back to see which squad is able to work their way into the win column.
