Tyler, the Creator is not a fan of posthumous albums, so much so he’s put a clause in his will that will prevent the release of any albums on his behalf. He revealed the news at his intimate show at L.A.’s El Rey Theatre on Wednesday night, where he performed Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale for the first time, as well as some unreleased tracks.
“Some of these are so good I can’t just let ’em sit on my hard drive,” Tyler said before performing the unreleased “Penny,” the first song he recorded for Call Me If You Get Lost. “Because I have in my will that if I die, they can’t put no f****** post[humous] album out. That’s f****** gross, [they’ll get] like some random feature on it, some n**** I didn’t f*** with.”
Tyler also took the stage with “Stuntman,” bringing feature Vince Staples out to do his part. Vince was one of three guests on The Estate Sale, which also included A$AP Rocky and YG.
Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale dropped on March 31 and has since helped the Grammy-winning original earn Platinum certification.
